• Background:You have worked so far this quarter to select a topic of research, create an intelligent research question and thesis, and gather research for your topic.You should have also been working to get to know each source that you are planning to use through critical reading.
• Assignment:For this assignment, you will write a 3-4 page paper that combines your research and your ideas into a conversation that will help your reader to make sense of the knowledge you have collected.This is called a literature review because you are literally reviewing the literature(the published work already done on your topic). When we review, we summarize, synthesize, and respond to the work others have done and show the ways they connect to or support our research topic/question.
• Goal:What I am looking for in this paper is for you to show me that you understand the research you have done, that you are able to summarize it, and that you are able to respond in a clear and thoughtful way.I will also be looking for your sources to be combined in a way that shows me how you think the information should be organized(synthesis).It is important that your sources intertwine with each other to show your reader a complete picture of your research.
• Points:30 points for a completed literature review with 7 sources.

• Typed,APA format
• Write an introduction to the literature Review
• Well constructed summary and response for 7 sources
• Clear connections between each source
• An explanation for how these sources help answer your question
• An Intro and Conclusion with your question clearly in the introduction
• Good transitions from point to point
