Being in competitive world, competitors face many challenging situation and respected as legends and too much and best immense of expectations on them. When they get into sports with greatness, success will automatically follow them and there will be hand over their opponents and sometimes illegal substances are used by them like steroids. They believe by taking such medications will improve contend on more elevated level and try ignoring the negative aspects of heath. Due to such instances, so many players have discoloured the profession and marked as offenders. Such misconducts lead to delivering physical mischief on the players, defeating the game, making detestable case on such individuals (Bryant. H)

A meeting which held in 2003 regarding the embarrassment of steroids at Major League Baseball, the official of MLB, Bud. Selig stated ‘The utilization of steroids in my game is demolishing the focused nature and destroying America’s leisure activity, when using such steroids while playing a sport in baseball would keep on developing that it would demolish the game and damage the competitors. Later of the season, the community found that eight percent of players actually use the execution of upgrading drugs. Mr Selig actualized all the players to be tried during the year and be dependent upon a boundless measure of irregular testing     whenever associated with use and introduced strict punishments as a fine and immediate suspension without any pay for any baseball players who found using steroids.  Jose Canseco confessed utilizing steroids while he was playing baseball for Oakland Athletics where he and his partners used steroids which helped to improve the game and easily defeat the opponents (Nightenagle. B, 2019)

Student 2 response (Siva krishna kommineni) :

MLB is a Major League Baseball Professional Organization which contains around 3 teams which plays in the American and national Leagues. Analysis, Investigation and research have been done in the players to correlate between the drugs and the financial ability. Some research indicated that to have the All-star rating and get good salaries, some unmonitored players took the steroids, Performance enhancing drugs to boost their performance while playing which will boost the energy and efficiency in the game. It also indicates that these performance enhancing drugs can be help with the short-term win and gains. But in the long term win it could be problem. Coming to the ethical and unethical actions, Not breaking the laws doesn’t mean that we are following the moral principles and values and behaving ethical. Sometimes the law or rules may be loosely coupled or bounded to the actions which we are taking (Pantuosco, L. J. (2011)). Competitive edge is also the reason for the actions, the environment should be in the positive way not in the negative way and lead to win in the wrong manner. This will create a bad impression on the whole team and because of some players in the team whole team will be in problem and nee to face the consequences and actions. Some players think that defeating the opponents is easy with these enhancing drugs and started using them.

Unethical actions by some members in the team will also promote and trigger an action in the other team member to focus in the same direction as he is achieving in the same direction. Competitive edge to win the games, looking at the seniors or teammates, bad behavior had been passed to many in the team and almost 80 % were tested positive with the performance enhancing drugs. As we know that Bad or evil spreads faster than good or truth, in the same manner the same thing of using the drugs continued in the teammates. The reason is like that One bad apple spoils the whole basket or if we use the apple in the juice it will spoil the whole juice. In the same way this created negative affected and unethical behavior of using performance drugs, steroids are passed among all the game players. (Junger, J., & Garcia, P. (2019)). Others following the rules are also later influenced by all the actions that are being taken place in the academy. Besides this the people who don’t take any steroids may under perform and may not be selected as they are not using any enhancing drugs or steroids for their game play. The main reason is looking after the one who used it and comparing with the recognition and money earned by them. All these happened is due to lack of proper testing for drugs and policies in the organization. After all these consequences lot of policies have been incorporated and USA Senate has passed a memo for the Organization and asked to follow the guidelines in it. Lessons were learned by the mistakes done by the organization due to poor maintenance of program to avoid the screening cost (Mahoney, K. (2009).).
