Q.1 (30 Points) After reading Mintzberg’s managerial roles (Ferrell et al., Chapter 6), choose only one of the three roles. Choose an organization with which you interact on a regular basis. This organization can be your place of employment, local supermarket, church, school, or any other type of retailer. Noticeable organizations, such as public corporations, will not be considered for this activity.

In your response, address the following:

• Introduce the organization.
• Identify at least three specific managerial activities associated with these roles at the three managerial levels described in this Week’s lessons.

 

Q.2 (60 points) Complete and submit this week’s Individual Case assignment:

1. Read the Case Study “Building a Strong and Healthy Business” available in the textbook, Chapter 6 (Ferrell et al., 2020).
2. Only peer-reviewed publications (e.g., periodicals, journals), prepare an APA Report addressing the following:
   • A summary of the case
   • Describe the technical, conceptual, analytical, and human relations skills that manager Daris Wilson, founder of JCF, has developed in his experience as a business entrepreneur.
   • Describe his role and activities in the organization using the four functions of management. Include at least two activities in each of the four functions.
   • Considering the historic (moment and time) situation of JCF Health and Fitness, choose a potential decision to improve the organization and explain your potential solutions using the decision making process.
   • Close this paper with an analysis in which you apply the discussed concepts to appraise critically the importance of the managerial issues addressed in this paper. Use real-life examples to explain the importance of these concepts.
   • Include at least three references with your APA report
