“A mission statement provides direction for a company by answering a simple question: What business are we really in?” (Hatten, 2012). Most strategic plans include the company’s mission statement. 

Choose a company and provide and analyze its mission statement. How does the company’s mission statement function as a strategic planning guide? How does the company’s mission statement incorporate the company’s philosophy of social responsibility and ethical standards?
