Summary. Please respond to the following:

• Imagine you are at a party where you have to describe what purchasing and supply management is all about. Provide a brief summary to your fellow party-goers.
• Persuade a fellow business major why taking this course is in their best interest. What would you say to be persuasive?

• Describe what elements are most valuable to your learning in this course such as reading the textbook, listening to lectures, discussions, writing papers, etc.
• Describe what you remember most about this course.

Question 3=

 

 

Adam gave me an idea when he and I were recently discussing something and Erick reinforced that when he made mention of the text book used in this course.  That idea was for me to offer some final extra credit.

My question for you all is this:  If you were a member of the course design team for Strayer, what specific recommendation(s) would you have relative to improvements?  ***Be specific to earn credit. That means I want recommendations that are measurable and actionable.  For instances, “too many quizzes” would not be specific. This might be an example of a specific recommendation, “no quizzes when assignments are due in Weeks 4 & 8.

Quest 3 should be like that=

It is my understanding that discussions were designed to encourage students to participate in the class.  It provides confirmation that the student has achieved a certain level of understanding of the material.  It also provides an area where the student can interact with the professor and classmates. 

I agree with the concept and believe that it works great.  However, I do not understand the reason for two “separate” discussion threads (example, Discussion One and Discussion Two).  I believe that all discussion questions should be incorporated within one discussion thread.  Each student will still be required to provide an initial response to all questions within the thread as well as respond to two other students within the class. 

 

It is really not a huge deal to go from one discussion thread to the other; however I do not see a need to have two “separate” discussions threads as all questions could be incorporated within one thread.  Therefore, if I were a member of the course design team for Strayer, I would ensure that there was only one discussion thread each week for each class.
