Abstract In the US, the Great Recession had put a devastating impact on wages and employment. Besides these, some households in the USA had experiences anguish or distress due to the Great Recession. During this recession period, employment in surgical hospitals and general medical were increased up to 3.3% and 140,000 to 5.3 million. Introduction The United States of America has experienced the “Great Recession” from 2007 to 2009. Due to the Great Recession, the economic activity in the country had been declined as well as joblessness increases, long term poverty and unemployment, along with considerable reductions in wealth and income (Johnson et al., 2017). Besides these, the Great Recession has adversely affected adolescents. In the US, the Great Recession had put a devastating impact on wages and employment. In the countries of the US, the rate of Unemployment had risen up to 10.0%. The BLS or Bureau of Labor Statistics analysis had indicated that healthcare employment had been increased during the period of the Great Recession. Results The Great Recession has started in December 2007 as well as it ended in the year 2009. Moreover, 40% of American households were very upset because they had experienced distress. This distress can be measured through losses in particular retirement savings, home foreclosures, arrears in certain mortgage payments, negative home based equity and unemployment. Throughout the country, healthcare employment had increased by 3.5 million jobs or the rate of employment in various healthcare facilities had been increased up to 31.6 per cent. The QCEW or Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages publishes quarterly employment count and quarterly wages has covered more above 95% of all payroll jobs in the United States.
