This assignment is in relation to assignment 3 in which you requested to do research concerning the different interoffice strategies the organization should embrace. For this assignment I will need an OUTLINE FIRST The Rubric will be attached along with Assignment 3 that you completed in earlier weeks. Please be detailed in the actual Final Research report. Assignment #5: Final Research Report/Recommendation Worth 20% of final grade; due week 8 This assignment is related to the proposal seeking approval for doing this research (A-3). Be sure that you tie these two assignments together! In Assignment 3 you identified and requested permission to write about a problem and deliver a solution. Assignment 5 is the research report proposing a recommended solution. You need to explain the problem, provide evidence of the problem, and support the solution. You need to include three to five references to support your statements and your recommendations for the solution. Your report must discuss resources (i.e., funding) necessary to implement the solution, the estimated timeline to implement the solution, and the benefits of doing so. Your report must also discuss a possible alternative, or “Plan B.” For instance: If your decision maker likes your idea, but one element or the other is not feasible, possible, or costs too much, you need to have a brief alternative idea to keep your recommendation afloat. The report must have the following components in this order: Attractive cover page Transmittal letter or memo Table of contents Executive summary (no more than one page) Body of the report to include: Headings and subheadings In-text citations in proper APA format At least one well-placed graphic, which must be an original graph or chart based on data in your report (see discussion below on the graphic) Discussion of funding and/or resources required Timeline for implementation of recommendation Discussion of an alternative to recommendation if one element or the other is not possible (it could be money, resources, or logistics) Conclusion stated as a recommendation to implement the solution Reference page in proper APA format, with at least five references The complete report should be no fewer than (approximately) 2,000 words and no more than 3,000 words. The word count includes all components except the reference list. The purpose of establishing a word count is to ensure the topic chosen is neither too big nor too small. In addition to these requirements, you are required to include at least one graphic – preferably something original that you create, which relates specifically to your information. This graphic, like all graphical elements in business writing, must reflect the best ways to present the information. In other words, use graphics where the picture tells the story even better than the words. It could be a simple table, a simple chart, or other visual element. If you use a photo or other image retrieved online, it must be in addition to a chart or graph.
